Empower Youth & Women in Leadership & Civic Engagement

Investing in the leadership potential of women and young people, so they can take their place in governance, peacebuilding, and community development.

Youth-led community based organisations engagement
Overview

Inclusive leadership is essential for democratic governance and sustainable development.

Safe Steps Foundation Kenya invests in the leadership potential of women and young people, building the knowledge, confidence, skills, and opportunities they need to participate meaningfully in governance, peacebuilding, and community development.

Through leadership academies, mentorship, civic education, advocacy training, policy dialogue, and networking, we equip emerging leaders to influence public policy, champion accountability, and drive positive social transformation, while working with institutions and communities to remove the barriers that limit women's and youth participation in leadership.

The leaders communities need are already among them, waiting for the chance to lead.
